Concept
An open, vendor-agnostic ecosystem for modular hardware.
Building blocks for your IT that make hyperscaler technology accessible, built on open specifications and standards. A shared 54V architecture powers multiple modules with increased efficiency, while redundant power supply, router, server, UPS, and modules for specialized applications come together in a single box. Our first product, cosa.systems Edge One, provides ten 1U module slots – upright in a 10-inch rack, sideways in a 19-inch rack – and is being specified openly as “Edge System v0.1”.
Our first product
cosa.systems Edge One
The server room in a box: ten 1U module bays, powered by a shared 54-volt DC architecture and managed across their entire life cycle.
One system instead of many devices
Power supply, UPS, router, server, storage and specialized modules such as a PoE switch share one enclosure and one 54-volt DC bus, following OCP design principles. No cable clutter, no isolated devices.
Sovereign software stack
Pre-integrated open-source solutions such as openDesk, with backup mirrored to a second site or a cloud of your choice. Your data stays under your control — every line of software is open source.
Operable without an IT department
Delivered pre-configured. The COSA Care subscription covers life-cycle management for hardware, firmware and software — updates, monitoring and support, directly or through partners.
What runs on it
Edge One implements the open specification “Edge System v0.1”, which we develop together with the community — from the mechanical design to the Redfish-based management.
